Things To Remember When Getting A Cosmetic Procedure
- Talk to your family doctor before getting any procedure.
- Do your homework. Use the Internet as a resource, but don’t assume everything you see online is true. See our Quick Links for legitimate, unbiased resources.
- Interview several medispas before choosing one that best fits your needs. Don't be fooled by gimmick pricing or high-pressure sales tactics. Take a look around, ask questions, take notes, and then compare your findings before making a final decision.
- Determine the cost and remember that most insurance companies will not cover these procedures. This is an investment in your appearance and just like your clothing, jewelry, and hair-care you might have to spend a little more to attain your desired result.
- Ask the right questions...
Questions To Ask & The Aesthetic Options Medical Spa's Answers
- How long has the person been doing the procedure? By virtue of being the first in San Antonio to feature the VelaSmooth, ReFirme, Colorescience Mineral Makeup, and the Seda 30 Day Facial Boot Camp, Aesthetic Options Medical Spa has the most experience in providing the aforementioned services.
- How many treatments do they do a week (or a month, a year)? Aesthetic Options' Masters Prepared Nurse Practitioner provides all the care from consultation to last treatment. She can provide up to 30 procedures a week and just over 1000 procedures a year.
- What is the nature of the treatment? All procedures at Aesthetic Options Medical Spa are Non-invasive, require no down time, and are non-surgical.
- What are the possible complications? The Masters Prepared Nurse Practitioner will only cautiously proceed after you have read/signed the informed consent for the procedure and after you've had every opportunity to ask questions. All clients and potential clients will be sent with Pre & Post treatment information upon visiting the office.
- For medi-spas: Is there a doctor on staff? Will he/she be on-site for the procedure? Aesthetic Options Medical Spa is proud to have a Doctor on staff for Administrative Management and Supervision. Our Medical Director may not always be on-site for your procedures, but your care will never be released to any one less than a Masters Prepared Adult Nurse Practitioner.
- What training has the person had that qualifies him/her to do the procedure and where was the training done? As a Masters Prepared Nurse Practitioner, Nancy Hill has years of clinical experience to address you skin health and treatment. Did you know??? - Can I see before/after pictures of your other patients who have had this procedure? Before and After pictures are available on-line or in the office. Review the background and color quality to ensure that what your seeing is real.
- Find out how many types of lasers the person owns and which one will be used for your procedure. Aesthetic Options Medical Spa refuses to offer our clients anything less than the best, the safest, and the most effective. We own and operate the Syneron Galaxy with elos™ Technology. The Syneron Galaxy is the official device selected for treatments by Dr Patrick Bitter Jr. and Dr Stephen Mulholland co-developers of the FotoFacial protocol.
